Founder’s note:
What inspired TR was for one, my love for and keen interest in fashion, dressing up and my fascination with trying to grasp why people spend as much as they do on clothing and luxury items. Seeing bold, confident and strong women who carry themselves with grace and poise both in the workplace and in public left me pondering more on why we all need that as women - young women especially. Dressing well and appropriately has the power to boost one’s confidence, makes us more courageous and motivates us to show up better for ourselves. TR’s BI (Brand Identity) is the colour purple which derives from Proverbs 31:22 “She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.” - In ancient Biblical times the colour purple was associated with affluence, wealth and royalty. My desire is for women to delight in looking after themselves, for ourselves and invest in self-development in order to show up in the world gracefully and with poise. We owe it to ourselves.
Who are we?
The intention behind TR stems from having spotted a gap in the South African fashion market and industry. Based on our findings, personal shopping is most predominant and has a much stronger footprint in the Global North. Moreover, for as long as I have known about the career, I have only ever heard one person make reference to it in South Africa. This made me understand that personal shopping is the missing piece in the SAn fashion market. Things like these go unnoticed because we all rely on e-commerce and online shopping for convenience.
Finally, one of our mottos is “Your life. Simplified.” Purely because I am a firm believer that life somewhat does become a lot “easier” when we embody confidence and courage and when we invest in self-development. I admittedly named TR after myself because every waking day of my life, I ensure I show up as exactly that: courageous & confident. I do miss the mark sometimes because “I’m just a girl” in a big big world haha. So of course I would love for you, my beloved, to embody the same thing too. When you finally do, you will come to learn that the big fears that held you back for however long, have no hold on you and you shall walk like you, in fact are worthy of everything you have ever desired.
